Sport has an incredible ability to break barriers and be a catalyst for positive social change.
However, despite recent stories of players and officials coming out, sport arguably has some way to go in taking full advantage of an inclusive industry where all lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) individuals are accepted and able to bring their “whole selves to work”.
Seeking positive change. A powerful body of athletes, sponsors, rights holders, LGBT allies as well as well as media and agencies that are engaged at the intersection of sports and the LGBT experience, will gather in London for an inaugural conference. A day of conversations, panels and case studies will examine: sexual orientation and gender identity in sports; the business opportunity and rationale of promoting LGBT inclusion; numerous positive examples of those breaking new ground and how sponsorsare acting as a catalyst to achieve real change.
